- The goal of the Leslie Olson Music Studio is to provide
an environment suitable for the instruction and enjoyment of music.
- Lesson programs are designed to meet specific needs
and goals of each student.
- Lessons include a balance of theory, sight reading,
ear-traning, and repertoire
appropriate to the student's level of proficiency.
- Students will be encouraged to participate in programs
designed to further these goals, such as recitals, competitions, festivals
and adjudication through the Music Teachers’ Association of California,
California Association for Professional Music Teachers, and the Southern
California School Band and Orchestra Association.
- Parents are asked to assist by providing a home environment
conducive to good learning habits.
- Offering weekly ½ hour, ¾ hour, or
1 hour lessons of Classical, Jazz, Sacred, Popular Music, and Composition.
- All styles of beginning, intermediate, and advanced
piano instruction for ages 5 to adult, and including students from public,
private, and home schools.
Through this program students’ lessons are a balance
of theory, sight reading, ear training, and repertoire appropriate to
the students’ level of proficiency. Mrs. Olson’ students have
been selected to perform at the Music Teachers’ Association State
Convention each year in either classical music or their own compositions.
